Custom Furniture

Sofas, beds, dining sets and casegoods made to drawing for homes, hotels and serviced apartments across Africa and the Gulf: contract-grade construction, performance fabrics, delivered to site.

Built for the journey, not just the showroom.

Furniture for Africa and the Gulf arrives by container: 30-plus days at sea, a stretch in a port yard at 45 °C, then a final road leg on corrugation. Catalogue furniture built for a temperate market rarely survives that chain with joints tight and fabric intact. Made-to-order is not a luxury in these markets, it is basic logistics.

INDECO builds furniture to drawing in Foshan, in the same workshops that supply our flooring, sanitary and lighting scope. Every piece is engineered for the climate it will live in: kiln-dried timber that will not warp at 12% humidity swings, high-resilience foam that recovers after a long resort season, and fabrics rated for UV, dust and daily cleaning. Furniture ships with your other materials in one consolidated container, so the guestroom, the lobby and the terrace all arrive together.

The furniture scope

Six lines covering residential and hospitality, from a single villa living room to a 120-key resort package.

01

Sofas & Lounge Seating

Two- to four-seat configurations, modular or fixed, in performance fabric or leather. Frames sized for the room, not forced into it.

02

Beds & Headboards

King, queen and super-king frames with upholstered or timber headboards, slat bases and fixings rated for contract use and daily housekeeping.

03

Dining & Occasional

Tables in solid timber, sintered stone or veneer; chairs specified to the seat count and the restaurant's cleaning cycle, stackable where storage is tight.

04

Casegoods & Storage

Sideboards, credenzas, TV units, bookcases and closets, dimensioned to your drawings so the piece fits the wall and the route in.

05

Hotel & Serviced-Apartment FF&E

Room-by-room packages: bed, nightstands, desk, luggage bench, wardrobe and seating, coordinated as one delivery with one fabric story.

06

Outdoor & Terrace

Treated teak alternatives, powder-coated aluminium and quick-dry rope for terraces and poolside, built for sun, salt air and rinse-down cleaning.

How our furniture is built

Three decisions decide whether furniture survives year five: the frame, the seat, and the fabric. We make all three explicit in every quotation.

01

Frame & Joinery

Kiln-dried hardwood or engineered frames, dowelled and blocked at every load-bearing joint. No stapled chipboard in anything that carries an adult's weight, ever.

02

Foam & Suspension

High-resilience foam over elastomer webbing or sinuous springs, so a lobby seat still looks the same after a season of 14-hour days. Foam density is stated per piece, not implied.

03

Fabric & Finish

Solution-dyed performance wovens at Martindale 40,000-plus rubs with stain-release finishes; leather in aniline or semi-aniline to spec. Swatches ship with every proposal.

Packed for a container, not a van.

Standard export packing is flat-pack with EPE foam corners, cornerboard, shrink-wrap and labelled hardware kits, with assembly drawings in each carton. For hotel and resort projects we offer full assembly with corner protectors where site installers are limited. Either way, the packing spec is written into the quotation, so nobody discovers a crushed armrest three weeks into a sea leg.

Projects this furniture is built for

Private villas, resort guestrooms, serviced apartments and boutique hospitality, each with its own wear profile and install window.

From brief to site, documented.

Made-to-order furniture runs on approvals, and every approval is written down, so the piece that arrives is the piece you signed off.

01

Drawings & BOQ

Send plans, elevations or reference images. We return shop drawings, a material schedule and a priced BOQ, usually within one working day of a complete brief.

02

Samples & Prototype

Fabric swatches, timber and finish samples go out for approval. For full packages we build one prototype piece before the run starts, at cost, credited against the order.

03

Production & QC

Pieces are made to the approved drawings, checked against a written QC sheet at frame, foam and finishing stages, then packed and consolidated with your other materials.

Why order furniture from INDECO

One workshop relationship, one shipment, and a parts file that keeps your furniture serviceable for years.

01

One BOQ, One Container

Furniture ships with your tiles, sanitary ware, doors and lighting in a single consolidation, cutting freight cost and landing everything inside one install window.

02

Climate-Engineered

Kiln-dried timber, HR foam and solution-dyed fabrics specified for 40 °C days and humidity swings, not for a European showroom.

03

Service Parts On File

Drawings, batch fabric and hardware stay on file for five years, so a damaged panel or a worn cushion set can be replaced without re-ordering the room.

Custom furniture questions

The five questions clients ask most before commissioning furniture for a hot-climate project.

Can you make furniture from our drawings?

Yes. Send plans, elevations or 3D files and we return shop drawings plus a priced BOQ. Material samples go out for approval before anything is cut, and for full packages we build one prototype piece first, credited against the order.

What fabrics work in hot, humid climates?

Solution-dyed polyesters and high-Martindale contract wovings handle UV and humidity far better than printed cottons, and both release most stains with water. We send swatch cards with every proposal so you can judge colour under your site's actual lighting.

How is furniture packed for sea freight?

Flat-packed with EPE foam corners, cornerboard and shrink-wrap, hardware in labelled kits with assembly drawings in each carton. Full assembly with corner protectors is available for hotel projects where site installers are limited.

What lead time should we plan for?

Made-to-order furniture runs 5–7 weeks in production, plus shipping. We schedule furniture after long-lead items such as tiles and glazing, so containers land in the order your site needs them.

Do you supply replacement parts later?

Yes. Drawings, batch fabric and hardware stay on file for five years, so a damaged panel, a worn cushion set or a missing leg can be replaced without re-ordering the whole set.

Send drawings, get furniture priced.

Share your plans, elevations or reference images and we will return shop drawings, a material schedule and a priced BOQ with lead times and FOB/CIF options.
